Effective Leadership

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. Mahatma Gandhi

As a leader we have a responsibility to bring a greater sense of equality to those that may otherwise not be heard or seen. We focus students towards inclusive practices that empower others to want to get involved. The confident use of peer names, acknowledging others through positive encouragement, focusing on teamwork and taking the time to include others is at the core of our effective leadership presentation. Leaders will learn to step back at times to focus on observations, effective listening and intentional inclusion of others. They will also focus on getting involved and leading with intent to set the right example. Your students will walk away with ready to use practical applications that will help distinguish them as leaders to the rest of the school. At the same time, your leaders will understand the relevance of their leadership experience and the benefits to their own character development. A good leader is always learning from their service to others and then putting what they have learnt into practice for their own development.

Turning the focus away from Bullying towards understanding
Group Dynamics and how to BE Part of a positive peer culture

Where there are people, there will be bullying and peer pressure. And your school is no exception. However, while we're used to thinking of peer pressure as something negative, it often has the potential to be a powerfully positive force. By leading students through some self-awareness activities, we can help create a group of peers who value individualism, practice it in their own lives, and encourage it in others. During this presentation we highlight the importance of difference in our world. Students will be guided through a 21st century look at the group dynamic and why people may resort to bullying behaviours. We promote positive acceptance of change in social groups and strategies in resilience to deal with potential negative peer pressures. Students will also identify with proactive strategies that build character and further resilience towards their comfortable existence in the ever changing group dynamic.

“Confidence and Resilience”

Our Confidence and Resilience presentation highlights key strategies towards taking control of your personal development. Your students will feel empowered with some simple skills to take on any endeavor with greater confidence, self esteem and assertiveness.

Self-confident people inspire confidence in others: Their audience, their peers, their bosses, their customers, and their friends. Gaining the confidence of others is one of the key ways in which a self-confident person finds success. All other things being equal, self-confidence is often the single ingredient that distinguishes a successful person from someone less successful. The good news is that self-confidence really can be learned and built on. And, whether you’re working on your own self-confidence or building the confidence of people around you, this presentation is sure to help you on your way.
